Calendar Events can be used to keep track of scheduled phone calls or in person meetings you have scheduled with contacts. You will be able to setup preset Event Types or create free form events. We will start with creating an event.
Scheduling an Event
There are 2 locations where you can schedule an event.
1. Calendar Tab
Location: Calendar Tab > Schedule Event (navigation bar)
The first location you can schedule an event from is the Calendar Tab itself. Start by searching and selecting the contact you want to schedule the event for. Continue filling in the other event information. A location and description is not required but can be used to provide extra information about where the event takes place or what the event is scheduled for. Next to the event title is a drop down menu to select the Event Type. Making the event Public or Private affects whether other users will be able to see the event on calendars.
2. Client Dashboard
Location: Client Dashboard > Dashboard Events Tab
The second location is from the Event Tab on the Client Dashboard; click on the "Schedule Event" button to open the scheduler layover.
Once the layover has opened, fill in the information applicable for the event. Since the event is being scheduled from the client dashboard you will not need to enter the contact. The user scheduling the event will be defaulted as the assigned user for the event. Depending on the permissions of the user scheduling the event, they may change the assignment to another user if needed.
Once you have created an event, if you need to edit it, return to the Calendar Tab and select the date the event was scheduled for. Next, locate the event among the scheduled events along the left hand side. Click the title of the event to see more details.
With the details of the event exposed you can click "edit" to return to the event setup screen and make the necessary changes to the event.
Upcoming and Past Events
Once you have created an event it will appear under the Client Dashboard Events Tab. You will also find Past Events listed there as well. To dismiss an event you can click the icon in the dismiss column along the right side.
